Ariyibi Samuel Oreoluwa, professionally known as Arisam, is a Nigerian Afrobeats/Afropop artist born in the early 2000s and raised in Abeokuta, Ogun state, where his journey into music began

Growing up Yoruba, Arisam was hugely surrounded by the culture, music, and intricacies of emotions that he couldn’t explain but felt a deep attachment to. Until he as well found his sound, and music became his tool to speak his truth and connect with the feelings people keep buried inside.

Now an artist in his own right, his music is classic and rooted in authentic storytelling, passed through warm vocals and relatable lyrics. Recently, he dropped a new EP called ‘Encanto’, and it’s quite an experience! With just 5 songs, Bamise manages to make something great that connects to his dearest convictions but also reaches out to whoever listens.

Here, every song holds a different touch. The first song; 'Encanto’ begins with a comforting prayer followed by Arisam’s vocals locked in a solemn plea. Simply put, it is a perfect introduction

The next song; ‘Bamise’ has its own intrigue, beginning with ancient Chinese instruments and then expertly shifting into a lovely Afrobeats roldlyhythm. Here he asks for God’s grace and prays for goodwill to all those around him. On this track, Arisam relays to fans the cogent life lesson, that it is not by who works the hardest or prays the hardest, but it all lies in God’s grace. So with this knowledge, this conviction in mind, he sings “Ba mi se”, which means help me do, and prays for his God to help him and change his story. From connections and seemingly unbelievable miracles, he boldly asks for everything.

In the vein of asking for big things, he follows up with $10Billion . This track, like all others, has its own unique sweetness. With its Major Lazer-type beat, a touch of EDM, hip-hop, pop, and Afrobeats, it is a major music trip, a total sonic pleasure. To crown the beauty to newer heights, he includes a higher feminine vocal that duets and complements his low tone in the best way.
