Kamalsongs, K1 de ultimate - Oko Ashewo

Coming in hot and heavy, we have Kamalsongs and his latest single, “Oko Ashewo”. “Oko Ashewo” features a tasteful sample of the legendary Kwam 1’s hit song “SOLO MAKINDE”. Kamalsongs gives us a traditional Fuji vibe with an addictive modern rhythm, cementing the track’s position as an iconic contemporary blend of sound, culture and storytelling.  “Oko Ashewo” in his words, comes from his direct experiences and observations as a Lagos city boy and the various relationships that develop in the city. This song highlights the peculiar dynamic of a woman who wants to hold on to her independence and single lifestyle, whilst also craving the security of having someone around for maybe something serious,  trying to eat her cake and have it both ways. Tar1q - Gold & silver

Tar1q carries the song with a gentle, laid-back yet intentional ease, hitting us with his chill, low-toned vocals, expertly matched with an alternate high pitched, background voice. Gold & Silver is music that flows through and around your system. It’s the kind you take in and savour with your eyes closed. It is a love confession with intention, and you hear everything that’s being said, lyric, rhythm and soul–the full experience. It is music to listen, feel and dive into fully. Do you - Sewa

Sewa does soulful music like she was made for it and it was made for her. She takes R&B home with her smooth, flavourful new track “Do You”. From the pacifying

Backing vocals—which come at you from every angle—to the quietly melodious rhythm and her voice ringing through, “Do You” keeps you right in the center of the music, feeling every layer of yearning and seamless passion. “Do You” asks a simple yet loaded question: “Do you feel what I feel?” It asks her lover a question with two intentions: Do you feel the intensity of love I feel towards you, and more importantly, do you feel it too? ‘Do you’ is a love letter of vulnerable desire and affection. This one is for the real lovers: of good music and true love. It is romantic, soulful and African. Make sure to check it out!

Ashidapo - picture

Modern Fuji has never sounded so good in the hands of Ashidapo and his hot new jam “Picture’, “Picture’ is the song that makes everybody go mental in the fuction, taking your Owambe from 100 to 1000. This is a song that says sitting is not an option, you must move, you must dance and you must enjoy every minute of it. It is a refreshing, addictive rhythm with an even sweeter voice to match. Ashidapo hits you like the hype men in a live band that make you want to spray all your money with  no regrets. To crown the cherry on top, he gives the talking drums space for a mini solo towards the end, ending the music with a perfect bow to a wonderful experience. Whatever you do today, make sure to check out “Picture”, it’ll blow your head away.
