Artistes of the Week:

Hi there! Welcome to the month of Oblee! December is the month of good vibes, cheer, enjoyment, and wholesome moments. Let’s kick off the week with something colourful!

Icerage ft TobyShang, Viral boy: Want something

Starting the party early, here’s ‘Want Something’, a mastermind collaboration of dynamic DJ and artist Icerage, alongside Tobyshang, the buzzing and indomitable hype-man who runs this town, and lastly Viral Boy, who takes the music on the plane with his transcending vocals, a perfect match to the electric music. The song is a chaotic yet interesting and captivating fusion of Afrobeats, Afrohouse, and electronic music. It’s a party on a different level. It gives you different vibes and feelings, all of which keep your hands stuck in the air and your body suspended in a moment of movement and bliss. Check out ‘Want Something’

TMEFRESH- AURACOOL EP

TMEFRESH is a vibrant and dynamic individual who stands out in the creative world. With a passion for art, TMEFRESH brings unique perspectives and innovative ideas to life through various artistic mediums. Driven by a commitment to grow and explore, he continually seeks to refine his skills and experiment with new techniques. Recently, he dropped his debut EP, ‘Aura Cool’. It’s a category of vibes upon vibes, cutting across different genres and styles. His first song, ‘New Born King’, is a modern Fuji-inspired bop with an Afrobeats execution and a trap kick. The next song dives headfirst into an Afrobeats/amapiano groove. Then he turns around and gives us some Afropop. Join TMEFRESH on a cool ride with his EP “AURACOOL”.

Splanky: Hasta luego

It’s a party in this house as Afrohouse meets Amapiano on Splanky’s new single ‘Hasta Luego’. The music is simple and groovy, and as he sings about a love so sweet it blinds. So join in on all the flavour, because sweet love makes good music. Check out; ‘Hasta Luego’

TI Blaze: El Chapo

Nigerian Afrobeats star T.I. Blaze, known for his catchy Afropop and fusion music, his engaging melodic hooks, and highly relatable lyrics, released a fantastic EP ‘El Chapo’ last Friday, sonically pleasing, clean and creative as usual. The first track, ‘Lose my Mind’ is a well-curated blend of Afrobeats and Amapiano style that gets the party started. Right after he takes us to another kind of Afrofusion, the one that says this is what December is about. ‘Porsche’ is the song for those slow drives in traffic as you wait in anticipation and excitement for the enjoyment ahead. The next music ‘Nigga’ takes a different turn as he gives us soulful Afrobeats with a sexy modern highlife guitar and relaxing, breezy feelings. The music hits and the vocals settle, just right. With that last song, he ends it on another Oblee note. This one is house and a raving yet soft amapiano kind of ginger. This entire EP, is perfect for your pre-game and every lovely moment spent outside or on the way there. Enjoy the weekend and the entire month with ‘El Chapo’; made just for you!

Lovn (also known to be a Soundbender) recently dropped a sweet, charismatic, and melodic track called “Sorry “Sorry I’m Busy”, giving us a total full package of heavy vocals, an addictive beat and irresistible energy all in one! It’s talent, grace, and grit, the one that’ll have you stuck playing on repeat, with no time to waste. As he sings about chasing the things that matter most to him, we can tell that Lovn is unapologetic about chasing success. With a voice so unique and rich in talent and a style that exudes deep creativity, Lovn will no doubt dominate the Afroworld in no time!
