Artistes of the Week:
Hi there! Welcome to another week in Decembizzy! It’s been quite the ride this year, and artists are working harder than ever before. Let’s see what they have in store this week!
Retroviral: Tmo/Tsf
Retroviral is an artist with an innate ability to deliver raw, emotional, Afrobeats-inspired soundscapes, often giving way to a fusion of moody melodies, smooth rhythms, and heartfelt lyrics. With his raw, unabashed creativity, he leaves every song feeling like a story. He is continuously creating patterns through music, whether they are romantic longing, late-night reflections, or the unresolved pain of lost connections. Recently, he dropped a 2-pack single called; Tmo/Tsf”. The first track, ‘Tmo’, is a smoky romantic Afro R&B track that features fellow Afrobeats artiste and rapper Bosmo, while the next song, ‘Tsf’ is a mix of Afropop and Afro R&B. Like a pattern, he carries that smoky romance feeling into TSF but makes it a little extra spicy and a little naughty. Check out Retroviral and his new two-pack ‘Tmo/Tsf’
BadboyVinci: CTRL

Budding Afrobeats star Badboy Vinci, who shares his story through music, has just released a beautiful new Afrobeats jingle called “CTRL”. This song is all sweet promises and lovely words of adoration. It's a thing of trust here, as He sings to give her full control and sings to her, “Don’t leave me hanging.” It's a desire to be held close, to be loved back. CTRL is a simple yet sweet love song you don't want to miss out on!
BoyBant ft 15JOMI: Ogaranya

A song of inspiration and newness, of hope and dreams. Boy Bant teams up with 15JOMI to give us ‘Ogaranya’. While he takes on the verse and captivating hook, 15JOMI joins in with a rap verse that would have you bopping your head and sombre in thought. Check out “Ogaranya”
Tolani: Sh!t never finished

It’s bouncy, it’s upbeat, it’s it’s smooth, it's fun, it’s Tolani’s new album! With music that lives in the intersection of Afropop, R&B, and alte music, Tolani makes a fiery comeback, velvety as ever, with her lovely new project “Sh!t Never Finished”. Capturing different moods in one, she begins the album with ‘High’, a fun and ditzy bounce mixed with an Afro soul/Afro R&B energy, giving it this cross between light-hearted pop and slow whine music. The bounce continues in her next song, “Hate Loving”, but this time a little more upbeat, transforming the energy from soul to a trip of hip-hop, yet still maintaining the cool, calm vibe permeating the music. So waste no time because you're in for a smooth ride of good music and great vibes on this one. No stress, no pressure, enjoy the music because “Sh!t never finished”; perhaps it's just begun!
Ayotemi: Overdo

What a way to end, with Ayotemi’s “Overdo”, a charismatic and light, jazzy Afrobeats song with a sweet touch of highlife, trumpets, and a beat that’s reminiscent of music of the roots, yet modern in the best way. Ayotemi, whose name is pronounced Ah-Yo-Tae-Me, is a multidisciplinary music artist with a purpose. He believes that his music is a vessel through which the frequencies of heaven can come to earth. As an American-born artist of Nigerian descent, Ayotemi's music is a blend of different cultures and influences, which led him to coin the term "IndigoRap", a fair description of his unique sound. With “Overdo”, the vibes are smooth and classy, capturing innocent and pure old-fashioned love. You do not want to miss it!
