Hi there! It’s another week of new music and good vibes. Coming to you live from CiDAR nation, here’s this week’s selection of ‘Artistes of the Week’.

Obedo PF: Focus

Obedo PF, prime advocate for the ghetto youths,recently dropped ‘Focus’, a hot taste of his larger EP project;‘Hope for Ghetto Youth’ Obedo, is an artiste on a journey to give hope through his music, to the ghetto youths and the world at large. ‘Focus’ is a continuation of this long-standing journey. Its a renewal of hope, enlightenment, discovering little truths and re-defining progress.

On ‘Focus’ Obedo Pf preaches a powerful message that life is cyclical and things will always turn around for us. At its core it reminds us that bad times or bad moments do not last, instead change waits around the corner. For him, happiness takes primacy over anything and he drives this message home in his own witty and unique way, using intriguing pidgin slang, a testament to street language, that part of him that very well defines his music. Focus in a way, is also a prayer, to stay rooted on his path, to not lose himself in his journey. To not ‘go astray’ but to stay rooted and committed, true to himself. So let ‘Focus’ encourage you today. To choose happiness, to accept that change s around the corner, that ‘mouth wey cry, go laugh’. Jerry Gnex: Winnerman

Jerry Gnex releases energy-filled amapiano bliss called; ‘Winnerman’. This artiste, is a magnetic, energy field himself. He refers to his sound as an “Afro fusion realm”, a place where melodic expressions and thoughtful lyrics come together to envelope the body and soul of its audience. Aayo: Shensea

Ayodeji Akinde, popularly known as Aayo, is a soulful artist whose journey into music began in the vibrant city of Lagos. When he moved to the U.S in 2016, seeking growth and clarity, he eventually found music again as his true path. Music, in his words, has always been in him. Recently he dropped a captivating Afrobeats track; titled ‘Shensea’, and this one will keep you moving, so make sure to check it out.

Dusky Fluxx: Ride 4 u

Dusky fluxx, is a new sensation in the world of Afrobeats, loaded with a firm desire to take up the music scene by a storm. Last wednesday, he released a new single called; ‘Ride 4 u’. On ‘Ride 4 u, he showers his love interest with compliments on her beauty and beyond that the effect she has on him, like an overdose of love, an overload of affection. He crowns the song with a promise to be by her side, to ride for her and never break her heart. Check out ‘Ride 4 u’

SOEY: Ashawo Boy

Juju music and Afro jazz takes the center stage on SOEY’s new track ‘Ashawo Boy’. This song is filled with a sweet softness that envelopes you on the first note. SOEY, the artist, holds a unique voice that cements it all; a gritty texture with an unmistakable sweetness. Aguero Banks, Chike: Push 2 start

The Southeaster hot boys hopped on a song together, and of course, it’s a banger. Rapper and songwriter Aguero Banks, hailing from the streets of Enugu, is known for his beautiful and earnest self-expression expression, through rap, often telling stories of his life and experiences in the streets that’s shaped him to become who and what he is today.

He features another well-established, deeply talented artiste, with a voice like butter, the one and only Chike, on his latest single, “Push 2 Start".

This song is melodious, authentic and richly Igbo. Showcasing the beauty in the culture and telling the story of the grind, all the hardwork that leads to results. Push 2 start, is beautiful music, make sure to check it out!
