Hi there, welcome to another week in February. This week! Lovely female artists across the world have cooked the hottest meals, and we are way too happy to share! From powerful women to lovely features, here are a few of our favs.
Yowa: Good vibes

Yowa, is a Nigerian Singer and songwriter, redefining the world of Afro-RnB with an urban sound that’s uniquely hers. Her sound is a lovely mix of Afrobeats, Soul and R&B. She melds this combo super well on her latest single; “Good Vibes”, which embodies every bit of its name, all through. It’s a chill, slow-paced groove, the kind that reminds you of simple days and simple pleasures. It’s sweet, simple and easy to love, so check out Yowa and “Good Vibes”
Rayona, Samad: Fantasy

Rayona, a singer/songwriter with honey-glazed, goddess-like vocals, devours her new music,Fantasy featuring Samad. The song is a lovely Afrofusion, with an interesting mix of alte influences, Afro R&B, and Afro-soul. The featured artist, Samad, brings a different, bolstering energy to the mix, and soft meets gritty in the best way. He comes in hard with a rap-style verse, then the two continue in a beautiful high-tone, low-tone duality on the chorus, a perfect close to the sweet music you've witnessed. Check out “Fantasy”
We are Nubia: Available

It’s another feminine takeover, as girl group “We are Nubia” drop their clean banger; “Available”. “We Are Nubia”, is a dynamic duo based in Nairobi, Kenya, formed in 2021. Composed of Maggie and Gloria, the duo blends their diverse backgrounds and shared passion for music to create a sound that blends Afro-pop and R&B grounded in Swahili storytelling.
Beautiful slow and soulful R&B doesn’t get better than “Available”. The voices sound perfectly packaged from the heavens, oozing like the shine of shea butter on black skin. It is Afrocentric, rich and beautiful, strings that pull you in, voices that keep you hooked and a rhythm that keeps you flowing to the beat, testing out your kompa skills. So waste no time, check out “Available”
Rhys Frank: Happy

Pivoting to a new arena, here’s Rhys Frank, a Portland/Swedish raised, genre-defying creative, who’s recently dropped the loveliest Indie pop track (with a taste of EDM), you’ll hear this week. “Happy” will keep you daydreaming, softly, hitting you with a wave of quiet happiness in your chest, like sunrays on your eyes, floating to every corner of the music. It’s a lovely mix of indie pop and pop funk, melancholic and kind to your soul in the best way. Make sure to check out “Happy”, it’s quite the experience!
Midi KwaKwa: Freaky

To close things in the best way, here’s “Freaky”, by Midi KwaKwa, a beautiful alternative fusion track, that would have you feeling psychedelic. It’s a fruit burst of all the good genres; Afro-soul, pop, Reggae, R&B, alternative, soul funk, a touch of all of the best things you can imagine, packaged into one big bubble wrap. It’ll have you emoting, floating and swaying, like an out of body experience. The beauty of the music is that you can never predict where it takes you, it’s explosive and transcendent in the best way. No doubt, it’s the good stuff, and when you think Midi, think Ghanian Willow Smith, completely owning craft. So waste no time and Check out “Freaky”!
