Artistes of the week: June Part 4 (2025)

Hi there! Welcome to Artistes of the Week. We’re saying our sweet goodbyes to June and saying our hellos to July. Here’s some new music to gear you up for the new month!

Peter Waju:  Halle (Eros)

Picture of Peter Waju

Afrobeats artiste; Peter Waju has recently released a smooth Afrobeats track called ‘Eros (Halle)’. It’s about that kind of love that makes you want to praise God and it's got this artiste singing ‘Hallelu’ all the way. Peter Waju appreciates that natural African beauty and body, on his new track, combining a sweet African rhythm with sweet admiration for his African girl. Body and soul, he’s all down for this carefully crafted human. Very simple yet very lingering, you’ll never want this song to end. With its killer hook, drumline, and baseline padded with his soft cushion vocals, let Peter Waju cushion your ears with this new single; Halle (Eros)

Ayomaff: Prince of the street\

Ayo Maff has recently dropped his latest album “Prince of the Streets” and this work of art wastes no time to top the charts. Brimming with musical creativity and irreplicable style, Ayo Maff is a force to be reckoned with in the industry at large. The album features a couple of stars like BNXN, Seyi Vibez, and Chike. One of his tracks; “Badoo’s Song” featuring Jazzworx and Thukutela, pays his respects to his inspiration, the Afrobeats legend and star, Olamide Badoo. To place the cherry on top, this song was produced by our very own in-house CiDAR producer; Fade Venom. So believe us when we say this is a project you’ll certainly enjoy

Tim lyre & Joshua Baraka: Pot of gold

Picture of Tim Lyre

Two lovely artists Tim Lyre & Joshua Baraka make magic together on “Pot of Gold”. Tim lyre kicks off the music, cool and calm yet an unmistakable vibe, sure of himself and flowing through the rhythm, that cool gone serenading ears with ease. Joshua Baraka changes the dynamic, his shrill Afro-R&B vocals add another dimension to the music. So waste no time and check out the musical gold stored for you in “Pot of Gold”

Kemuel: Fini

Picture of Kemuel

Destined for global dominance, Kemuel maps out his eclectic journey as a singer, songwriter, and musical producer, with one release at a time. Known for his hot sped-up remix of “Ku lo sa” and more, kemuel is an expert at clever deliveries of relatable lyrics, catchy melodies, and beats that pull you up into his world. He has just dropped his new single “Fini”, and on this track high tones meet a low timbre in a way that it is a perfect collision. This song is a playful tease of a track, musically. It is an artwork of sorts, with melody, rhythm, and vibe. Check out “Fini” by Kemuel.

A-Q & Ajebo Hustlers ft Qing Madi: Proud of life

A-Q gets a holistic crew on “Proud of Life” featuring Qing Madi and Ajebo hustlers. The song is a rap/soul track and what you can refer to as chique music.
