Artistes of the Week:

Hi there! Welcome to another week in May! Today we’ve highlighted a few of the stars that have rocked the music world so far with their latest releases. Let’s dive in!

Ema Onigah: Chance

Ema Onigah, is a creative, musical artist who found his love and calling for music after his constant rendezvous with the drums at his local church, an early exposure which ignited his love for African rhythms, shaping his unique approach to Afrobeats. The rich cultural tapestry of his upbringing is also quite evident in his music, which seamlessly blends traditional African sounds with modern Afrobeats. Like an allusion to his drumming background, he carries this love of speed and rhythm into his new track, turning it into skilful mastery in his lyrical delivery. “Chance” is a harmony of soft Afro rhythms and a thrumming, infectious energy, driven by Ema Onigah’s incredible vocals. He creatively speeds through his lines with an amusing and intriguing speed, catching up with the soft, flowing rhythm every time. So this morning, make sure to check out “Chance”, it’s sweet, smooth, and just downright enjoyable, an ear-tickle of good music.

Rudhee, Zerry dl & Islambo: Fantasy

Rudhee, Zerry dl and Islambo team up to give us the craziest Afrobeats/Amapiano mashup. It’s vibes upon vibes as the crazy beat meets its match. Each of these artists adds their unique spice and spin on their verses. It begins strong with Rudhee, setting the pace just right with a low tone and intentional delivery; the drums usher Zerry Dl in, another low yet energetic voice added to the mix, all flowing with the beat like it's a holiday.

Islambo takes the last verse things, coming in with a lazy drawl that adds a new sweetness to the music, giving it an effortless tint. Check out this crazy new jam “Fantasy”

Mckay: Karma

Mckay, is a newly rising Afrobeats artist, known for turning his deep emotions and feelings into good music, often touching on love, heartbreak, and other life struggles. His latest track “Karma” is another episode of deep expression lyricized, as he pours down his feeling of being jilted in love, into sound and powerful lyrics, every feeling bleeding intensely through the music. Mackay sings from a place of recognizable pain, yet instead of choosing revenge and anger, he leaves this person to the hands and fates of Karma. So check out his new track “Karma”

Lalid: Catching glory

Lalid is a rising star in the Afrobeats and Afro fusion music scene, known for his uplifting music and catchy production. Born and raised in Tema, Ghana, Ladi’s journey began professionally in 2018/19 and has already made a great impact in his community.
