Hi there! Welcome to another week in September and another round of Artistes of the week. As always, we’re here to spark up your day with some beautiful and freshly released music. Let’s dive in :

Candy Bleakz ft Terry Apala: Reality

 Candy Bleakz and Terry Apala, create the most insane fusion of Fuji music and Amapiano on their hot new single ‘Reality’. Beginning with a sample of a Fuji classic by  Barrister Sikiru Ayinde, the song starts and ends on a blazing note. It’s a fantastic breathtaking anthem for every audience, a cross between the old and new, inviting everyone and anyone to enjoy. Candy Bleakz takes the first verse and the chorus, giving us that envious yoruba swag, with her bubbling vocals, then she follows it up with a lovely switch to Hip hop and we just can’t get enough! Terry Apala follows behind, adding his own unique swagger to the music, and from an old classic, they create, in the making, a timeless classic of their own. Nonso Amadi: Dive in

Nonso Amadi is back !!! and he’s certainly come back in style. Ready to be on rotation in our playlists again, he’s here with a new single called ‘Dive in’. On this new track he blesses us with a lovely, soulful Afrobeats, spinning on that modern high life feel, the song is a beautiful one. The guitar, a key part of the music's sweetness, hits like a fever dream, like water. It's gentle, melodious, and sweet. Dive in, to Nonso Amadi’s latest gift!

Oladips: Beg Tinubu

Oladips, is a hot, creative Nigerian rapper who wields Yoruba and English as a medium for expressing his sonic wisdom as he harps on the beauty, struggles and pain of life through rap. His latest track ‘Beg Tinubu’, is a somber arrow straight to the heart, an emotional heart cry, where his deep and genuine lyricism creativity comes in contact with the harsh reality of many Nigerians. ‘Beg Tinubu’, talks about the harsh economic state of the nation, the suffering and opportunities lost due to the unfavourable living conditions. As he raps, he fills the music with different outcries from fellow Nigerians. Tiwizzy: Ungrateful

Tiwizzy is a Nigerian Afrobeats budding star who carries on his back, the influence of his background, which has helped shape the stories that lie heavy in his chest, and melodies lodged in his throat. He calls himself an ‘Eastforeignboy’, wielding wounds and truths straight from the heart and has started his music journey from as far back as 2020. Still unfiltered, still unfolding, his story continues, and he has recently dropped a chill Afrobeats track called,  ‘UNGRATEFUL’, make sure to check it out!

LUMi: Miss My Baby

LUMi, has recently dropped his soothing, teasing, and raw single, ‘Miss My Baby’, and it is set to unravel hearts and keep playlists on a choke-hold. This impressive and ingenious star is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and recording artist who embraces musical creativity with an avant-garde rigor. He brings his sound to life through a fusion of different musical genres like Afrobeats, Afropop, House, Hip-hop, and R&B. His latest single, ‘Miss My Baby’, bleeds its way into listeners’ ears, like an intoxicating, calming shot. Here, he shares a cloying, love confession of reassurance and comfort as he relays to his lover that ‘It’s only you’, the crux of his message.
