Bimz tackles fake love and energy with his new jam “Ganusi”

Abimbola Ayankoya, known professionally as Bimz, is an Afrobeats artiste and a lover of music.
Bimz found his passion in music really early in life, and grew up enraptured by African music, from Juju, Fuji and Highlife. Yet it wasn’t until 2024, that he turned that passion into action by dropping his first single; “OH NO”. This song was the wake up call and turning point for him, as it reminded him that he had no other option than to pursue his passion for music. With the release of his first single, he laid the foundation for a promising career.
His unique blend of afrobeats, Fuji, and Juju melodies captured the attention of music lovers globally. As he continues to grow and develop as an artist, there is no doubt that he will continue to captivate audiences with his music and undeniable talent.
His latest single, “Ganusi” is a prime example of the plan at work. It’s a catchy, Afrobeats/Amapiano madness, the kind of rhythm that heats up the place.
But beyond its exciting rhythm, Bims brings all smoke with his lyrics. “Ganusi” delivers a strong message aimed at people who lack ambition/drive and try to attach themselves to yours while secretly wanting to see you fail. The track tackles fake love, jealousy, hidden agendas, and the gimmicks people use to disguise their true intentions. Through infectious production, commanding vocals, and unapologetic lyricism, Bimz turns those realities into an anthem about awareness, survival, and protecting your energy
According to the artist, “Ganusi is about recognizing fake people and staying focused on your own journey,”. “A lot of people want to benefit from your motion without genuinely supporting you. This song is me speaking on that reality — exposing the gimmicks, the fake energy, and reminding people to move carefully and protect themselves.” Bims says.
And no doubt the song lives up to its name and mission. Out now on all streaming platforms, check out “Ganusi”
