Shaiboy carries a sweet, intimate love confession into his new track; “Fa Mi Lo”

Last Thursday, Shaiboy stormed the yard with a new Pop/R&B single, “Fa Mi Lo”.  Fa mi Lo, is simply what you’d call “good music”. In the track, Shaiboy dives deep into a well of vulnerability, expressing the raw emotions that come with genuine love.

The record plays like an intimate confession of love-- no noise, no distractions, no overthinking; just a lover boy fully tapped into his emotions, translating them into a smooth melody layered over the subtle percussive production.

This comforting percussion is the first thing to pull you in. It’s a vibe that unlocks like a memory as the music lands like a callback to one of the greatest eras of pop, circa mid 2000s.

It hits like a Major Lazer feature you know you’re about to love. Like beach sand and beach balls, running in the wind and sweating with joy.

Just as the lyrics portray, “Fa mi Lo” (pull me in) is about a love so deep and expansive, it pulls you in. It represents that dizzying feeling knowing how this person has altered your world, and this effect makes the song so easy to fall into and get wrapped up inside.

The vocals are a perfect match. Shaiboy expertly mixes his Nigerian style — an all-round touch of the language, tone, and aura — with a foreign melody. It’s done so well it melts your heart away, keeping it nostalgic and beautiful.

Out now on all streaming platforms, press play on “Fa mi Lo” and watch how many times you hit replay!
