The Healing Journey continues with Obedo PF as he teases upcoming new project; ‘Heal the Youth’

The story continues with Obedo PF as he teases his latest EP; ‘Heal the Youth’. In just 5 songs, he gives us depth, internal monologues and superb storytelling.

The EP begins with Promiseland, a song of motivation, grit and vigour.

‘Promiseland’ is about remaining relentless in the face of adversity, refusing to lower one’s head, but instead to keep climbing atop. Gently and easily, Obedo expresses a burning and relentless feeling of survival and, beyond that, a need to thrive.

On the second track, he dips in with his usual drawl, an almost pained expression pulling deep from within, passionate, intense and intentional. With this style, he makes ‘SHY O’ a transient feeling, the kind of music you sit inside and let it take you places. It’s an originality you can’t buy, to capture emotions so intensely that it flows through every corner of the music. This one would have you basking and returning for one more.

On the third track; ‘Nobody Holy’ he features Aguero Banks, carrying the usual drawl with him, but with a bit more hip on the side. Aguero Banks touches the music with a taste of sweet South Eastern energy, rapping in a trifecta mix of Pidgin, Igbo and English.

‘Me’ takes a different turn, as he switches up the vibe completely, in a cultural dome of modern music and traditional. It’s Afrobeats meets sweet and satisfying local drums, a touch of Fuji that makes the song both hip and traditional at once, and here he relays that ‘Everybody get e time and e own season’
